One of the many things our driver, Mark, was good at, was finding a most beautiful spot for us to part for the night. Somewhat off the road and therefore often completely isolated from noise and people and the 'real world', these spots always allowed us to feel as if we were the only people on this beautiful planet -- which made the 'desert experience' so unique and so good.
And -- which allowed for the everyone to have a field time taking beautiful photographs of the sunsets and the sunrises!
Venus, always the first star to grace the night skies
Yet another view from my tent at sunset -- spectacular ..
...and the same view at sunrise
The early morning sun turns the desert into a rich warm landscape
Subtle changes that compete for the most spectacular
And last nights shisha pipe can sometimes
make you look a little like this in the morning...
The crescent moon sitting high and bright in the sky --
waiting for the sun to appear before it quietly slips away
my little habitat for the last ten months -- and this my very last sunrise in the desert...
(this time round!...)
