Goodbye party for Jesco at Hans Boatel in Kukum Forest

When we had to say goodbye to Jesco, who left us in Accra, we decided to have a Silly Party. The reason for this should be obvious: if anyone has a knack for buying 'silly' outfits, then it was our Shishco - aka Jesco. The first of these was a pair of thick knitted pants -- imagine granny Iris with all her odds and ends and bits of wool left in the charity basket at the church bazaar, using her thickest needles and knitting a pair of long pants for grandpa Jo for the coldest of cold winters. This would be something that was NEVER meant to be seen by anyone out there -- and most certainly NEVER meant to be sold to a wandering young German from Mainz shopping in a Morocco souk... Anyway -- when we intend to do a Silly Party, we do Silly -- Seriously Silly! And then the fire ants came in their trillions to bite us and to carry away the flying ants that came in their gazillions. What a mad, mad - and silly night it was!
You will be sorely missed, dear Jesco!

Ben and Suzanna doing the quick step to avoid being eaten alive whilst trying to take photographs of the flying ants

Jesco in his silliest of silly outfits, enjoying his shisha for the last time -- on this trip, that is...

John -- normally second in line for silliest outfits after Jesco, looking quite-- mmmmmmm -- normal

Jesco and Randy discussing the merits of strange facial hairstyles, weird glasses and shirts that reveal nipples. Randy says he is not gay, but we are wondering now...

Suzanne and Emy -- trying hard to look like Super Heroes, but simply unable to NOT look glamorous (well -- glamorous in a silly sort of way)

Kyle looking like -- Silly Kyle!

And that silly man is the one in whose hands we place our lives on a daily basis??

Underwear as outerwear could have been the sub-title of the night
Tash doing a good impersonation of a Silly Super Hero

Randy in John's (normal) shirt and Orm's short shorts, a strange (silly) new beard and those very weird (gay)glasses, me looking silly (but as I had a scrap of lacy frilly undies over my head and could not see, I reckoned no one would recognise me) and Ben with his Silly Tilly hat and Obama shirt: a very Silly Threesome
